Dark Sky spot - Feggesund
On the Northern tip of the island Mors is located another fantastic dark sky spot with good opportunities for stargazing and even some hiking in the darkness. In the coldest months, when strong winds combine with freezing temperatures, the landscape of Feggesund becomes a frozen paradise. During such conditions Limfjord turns into an ice-fjord, which fascinating texture will make you feel like on another planet.
In Feggesund people often meet seals and therefore, most likely, you might hear them splashing in the water. If you notice dots of light, which are animals’ eyes, while using a flashlight, it is extremely important either to switch the light off or to lower its brightness – as animals should not be disturbed. It is also important keeping distance to the animals.

Being outside at night
It is our common responsibility to respect natural environment, especially as many animal species are active during night time. It is important to switch the light off, when there is no need for using it – doing this will help you to avoid affecting your night vision and others in the area. Remember not to leave anything but your footprints out in the nature.
