Struer and its surroundings also host various Christmas activities. Among them, you can experience the following:

  • Santa Claus arrives in town on December 15: Don’t miss this year’s Christmas event in Struer when Santa arrives in town. This year, he’ll arrive with the Christmas train at 10:45, accompanied by the Struer Railway Orchestra. Santa will make his way from the station down Jernbanegade and Smedegade, past the cinema, and down the pedestrian street to the Town Hall. From the Town Hall balcony, Santa and the Mayor will wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Santa will also be given the town's key, allowing him to enter every house to deliver gifts to all the children. This year, there will also be rice pudding, sponsored by Gittes Mad!
  • Christmas concert with the Struer Saxophones on December 13: Experience the Struer Saxophones (Struer Music School’s Saxophone Ensemble) playing festive Christmas tunes on T.W. Jensen's Square on December 13. This year, they’re collaborating with the Holstebro Sax Ensemble for a Christmas concert in both Holstebro and Struer. The concert lasts approximately 40 minutes.
  • Christmas tree lighting in Struer: Don’t miss the annual Christmas tree lighting in the City of Sound! Join us at 5:00 PM on T.W. Jensen's Square, where the Mayor will count down to the lighting of the tree, followed by the singing of a few well-known local Christmas carols.
  • Ice rink opening: On November 29 at 2:00 PM, Struer Ice Rink will officially open with an inauguration by Mayor Marianne Bredal. Afterward, 20 students from Limfjord School will try out the ice, and then the rink will open to everyone!
  • Black Friday on November 29: The shops in Struer invite you to Black Friday with plenty of great offers. Shops will stay open until 10:00 PM.
